About The College

Narangi Anchalik Mahavidyalaya , leading institution of higher education was established in 1991 at the initiative of the people of greater Narangi area. The college located at the southeastern part of Guwahati city has come a long way in spreading higher education covering ethnic and linguistic groups. The college initially started its classes in the evening shift at Narangi High School on September 2, 1991. However, within few months, the college was shifted to its own permanent site in a beautiful spacious compound surrounded by green hillocks. The college has at present, required number of class rooms, library cum reading room, teacher’s common room, girls’ common room,boys’ common room, departmental rooms and union office room. Welcome to Narangi Anchalik Mahavidyalaya affiliated to Gauhati University , Assam. On behalf of the college fraternity I welcome you to our website. We are happy and privileged to present our official website and welcome you to our College, a premier institute of higher education in the south eastern part of the city.
Narangi Anchalik Mahavidyalaya is one of the leading colleges of University of Gauhati higher education in humanities and commerce. We have highly qualified, dedicated and committed faculty who are well known in their respective fields of specialization. They are ever ready to provide guidance, sharpen skills and shape up all round personality of the students.
We, at Narangi Anchalik Mahavidyalaya, provide vibrant academic environment for the students to sharpen their intellect, inter-personal and communication skills. The co-curricular and extra-curricular activities organized in the college provide a platform to the students for their personality development and the promotion of their
creative talents in the diverse fields of debating, dancing, music and host of other cultural activities. The college has a big library and it has more than 8000 books, and large number of journals in different areas of research and training, to provide you intellectually stimulating environment. All the books and journals are Bar coded and supported by computerized search, issue and return facility. This is supplemented by computer lab with internet facility. The college is going to convert the library into a fully automated Knowledge and E-Learning Resource Centre.
Our future plan is to develop the college into a Centre of Excellence to provide opportunities for all round development of the students in today's fast changing competitive global environment of the 21st century. The college has modern facilities with technological support in the form of computer labs, providing platform to the students to learn, research and exchange knowledge.
